Color Crush – 09.02.15

Fall is almost here. Crap.

Not that I dislike autumn. It’s really one of my favorite times of the year. It’s just that our summers are so short around here that it always makes me a little sad to see the the first leaves start to fall.

The kids go back to school next week and that brings a whole new set of adjustments…mostly for me. They’ll adjust just fine. But I’ll have to really make sure that I have my act together in the mornings to get out of the house on time to make it to work. I’d like to lead you to believe that I’m a mom who has her shit together, but that’s really not the case. I’m the mom who has to stop at the gas station to pay $12 for Oreos because I forgot to bake homemade sugar cookies, cut out in the shape of something whimsical and finished off with light coating of royal icing in a triadic color scheme. I’m ok with it. There are other mothers in the world who are way better at overachieving in that department than I am.

So, in honor of the impeding doom that is the changing season, here’s a little something that is trying really hard to hold on to the last bits of summer;
